It is generally seen in India that on the auspicious day of Somwati amavas people takes bath in holy river and perform pooja for fulfilling wishes. So it is necessary to understand about this important day. 

SOMVATI Amavasya is celebrated when No moon night falls on Monday. It is the day of lord shiva and Moon too as per astrology and epics and that's why the importance of this day increases too much. 

In mahabharat we can find that chapter where it is described that Pandav putra Yudhishthir is taught by Bhishmji about the importance of somvati amavasya. It is the day to worship lord shiva and also ancestors/pitra. It is the day to attract blessings from shivji and ancestors by offering prayers in different ways. Abhishek, hawan, tarpan is done to please god and forefathers/pitra on this important day.

As per the information got if any one takes holy bath in any sacred river/nadi like ganga, narmada, kaveri or in any triveni sangam then person is able to over come from many problems of life, In every dip just think that all sorrow and griefs are going away from you. 

It is a strong belief that if shraddha pooja or tarpan is done on this day for the upliftment of ancestors then definitely it is successful. Peepal pooja is also taken as important process on this day. 

This is the big issue which moves in the mind of common people that what to do, how to please ancestors and how to please lord shiva. So here I am providing free tips for a rocking life. 

1. If any one is facing financial problems/debt problems, family problems, job problems due to pitra dosha in kundli then do take bath in holy river in flowing water and then do tarpan for the peace of ancestors and pray to remove your problems. 

2. If you are a shiva devotee then do the abhishek of lord shiva with milk having saffron/kesar and also recite Rudrastak. With this do pray to remove your hurdles of life. You will get good changes. 

3. Do the peepal pooja to over come from every complicated problems on somwati amavasya. For this pooja do find a peepal tree where no statue is installed and also which  is in very silent place or near the creamation ground. Do offer milk having kesar, burn a deepak and put some bhoga for the hidden powers there. Now take 108 round of that peepal tree and pray from heart about to solve your problem. You will definitely find your ways to getrid of your problems. 

4. Do give the dhuni if saffron In South-West corner of your house in the name of pitra/ancestors/forefathers.

5. You can also perform rudra pooja and pray to shiva to give peace to yours forefathers.

6. If any one is suffering from Chandra or Malefic Moon in horoscope/kundli/birth chart then don't worry , Somwati amavasya is the day to over come from this dosha. Do donate milk, water and perform chandra shanti pooja. Also If you donate to open a "Pyau/place where public can drink water" then it is the best way to minimize the chandra dosha. 

So guys there is no need to worry by hearing the name amavasya, use it for a good life, use this day to remove hurdles of life, use this day to please your forefathers/ancestors/pitra, get the blessings of lord shiva and pitragan.
