Jem and The Holograms ran as an animated television show from 1985-1988. The show was about a singer named Jem and her band The Holograms. Jem was her singer persona on stage but off stage she was known as Jerrica Benton music producer.

Molly Ringwald from Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club and Secret Life of the American Teenager has been cast in the movie in what role is uncertain at this time. Juliette Lewis of Natural Born Killers and From Dusk till Dawn fame has also been cast role unknown.
This year’s Jem convention will take place in Toronto, Canada on September 26-28, 2014.
