Strawberry Shortcake began as a line of greeting cards which became so popular it inspired a line of dolls, toys and a television show in the 1980’s.
Strawberry Shortcake is the little girl who lives in Strawberry Land. Her and all her friends’ names are all named after fruits, deserts, or sweet beverages. Most of the 1980’s dolls were originally scented with the same fragrance as the fruit or dessert they were named after.
