No, the anime didn’t necessarilly end.
With the manga at its highest point, an upcoming theatre adaptation, and the upcoming movie, I think that for once the studio simply doesn’t see the point in putting out fillers that people may not necessarilly like.
What people want is the real deal, the canon, right?

As you know, Kodansha Weekly Shonen magazine announced a new anime project in the works in its issue of March 23, but didn’t provide much details.
My best guess is a return of the anime in October, plus the new movie.

Fairy Tail manga Spoilers 482 – titled Fighting Spirit – due to be out on April 18
This is all about Erza, who is tortured again but not beaten at all, her fighting spirit overcomes all the former adversaries of her Historia.
“Disappear ghosts, before I slash you again.”
My worries is that Neinhart can be easily defeated. Then why such hype for the Spriggan 12?
Jellal also appears and it’s about to rip Neinhart a new one too.
Fairy Tail manga Spoilers 483 -titled Seven Stars – due to be out on April 25
This chapter will have 25 pages plus a color one
From what it seems, Neinhart is not that easily defeated, I mean hopefully.
It could be a combo of Erza, Kagura and Jellal, unless this chapter decides to deviate to Mavis situation.
