Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja Banned In Pakistan

Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja which is based on a real-life incident of the hijacking of the Pan Am Flight 73 at the Karachi airport in 1986, has been banned in Pakistan for release. The film’s content has been the reason for the ban and we hear, Pakistan claims that the movie will feature their country in a bad light.

What’s surprising is that, the film has been banned even before its censor board viewing. According to a popular new source, the nature of the film’s content caused the authorities to revoke its certificate to import the film. Initially, the ministry of commerce had authorized the import of the film but changed their decision later.
