Yay! I’m so excited to share with you my latest custom blog design for my friend Anne Marie Mitchell.

Anne Marie started her blog off as a beauty blogger back in college. As you grow and change, sometimes your blog needs to grow and change as well. This was the case for Anne Marie. Her beauty “blogger” blog was growing and evolving into a lifestyle blog, and she wanted to have more control over the entire site. BeautyBookLove turned into AnneMarieMitchell.com – Navigating Life with Lipstick and Love, and the intimidating move from Blogger to WordPress began.

After moving the content (boring), it’s onto the fun part – DESIGNING!

I love listening to what someone else dreams up and trying to make it happen on the computer screen. Anne Marie’s style is much different then my personal style – clean, modern, glitter. She described it as Rihanna meets Marilyn Monroe I could vibe with that.

We created a custom social media menu out of lipsticks and added bursts of gold glitter. The bold embellishments coupled with clean font work and a stark white background brought the site to life. A large photo slider was used to showcase another one of AM’s strengths, her photography.
