Kristian Aadnevik evokes the Amazonian Rainforest at London Fashion Week SS17

Kristian Aadnevik evokes the Amazonian rainforest for the spring/summer 2017 collection at London Fashion Week.

Natural elements with leather craftmanship and couture feature adornments are set against exotic skin, embroidered butterflies, beads, layers of net and floaty chiffon.

Prints are illustrated with Blue Morpho and Melanosuchus niger. Bright yellow, reds, greens, blues and pinks are contrasted against nudes, whites, metallics and blacks.

Hila and Kristian Aadnevik said: "The rainforest is disappearing at a concerning pace and this collection is about the beauty of a perishing world.

"As a symbol of the darkness and strength of the powerful forces of the forest, a band crafted of leather and beads is protecting the fragile alluring world within like a mighty Boa snake grasping its own tale."

The roar of the Jaguar was the roar of thunder, the Black Panther was the god of darkness and could cause eclipses by swallowing the sun. This reflect the tremendous power inherent within the feminine forces and the Amazonian muse of the collection.
