Teatum Jones debuts capsule menswear collection at London Fashion Week

Teatum Jones is debuting its Menswear capsule collection at London Fashion Week spring/summer 2017.

A light blue patterned coat, bomber jacket with pink sleeves and arm pockets with pop out designs, a yellow mid length coat and short sleeve patterned shirt with cropped trousers were in the catwalk show.

Designers Rob and Catherine consider menswear as part of their ongoing conversation and now seemed the perfect time to launch their debut capsule.

They said: "We've found that designing menswear has felt like a natural extension of our womenswear collection with many of the Colour and fabric stories crossing over in to both collections."

The patterns are inspired by the likes of Scotland's Charles Rennie Mackintosh's romantic water colour paintings at the beginning of the 20th century - botanic flowers and landscapes.

And the colour palette is shared between the mens and womens collection split into three colour groups including rich teal navy, romantic flamingo pink clashing with fleshy nudes and primary colours of black and optic white.

Teatum Jones has collaborated with contemporary artist, Tom Leamon who hand painted the coats, bombers, skirts and leather rucksacks.

The brand continues to use merino wool dying the wool to acid bright colours.
