A Field in England.  Rating:  3 (out of 5). Set in the 1600s, a small group of deserters fleeing from a raging battle were captured by an alchemist, who forces them to help him find a hidden treasure he believes is hidden in the field. Crossing a mushroom field, which provides their first meal, the group quickly acts strange, and as it becomes apparent that the treasure might not be gold, they slowly become victim to the terrifying energies trapped inside the field. The film premieres on VOD on April 8. It has received generally favorable reviews from the critics, and The Hollywood Reporter notes, “For all these minor flaws, A Field in England is a rich, strange, hauntingly intense work from a highly original writer-director team. Even if it leaves you with more questions than answers, this microbudget experiment still succeeds as a purely sensory experience.”
