Kobe Bryant is the newest member of the Ghostbusters?

Seems like Kobe Bryant is taking retirement well.

Since finishing out his career in a final moment of glory in his farewell game, the former Los Angeles Laker has found himself popping up in multiple commercials and TV appearances. From promoting Apple TV to advertising the Copa America soccer tournament, Kobe has showcased his acting chops everywhere.

This time around, Bryant is helping promote the new Ghostbusters movie, premiering July 15th. The ad features Bryant as the new member of the ghost fighting force, complete with a “Mamba” name-tag and a decorated Mamba Chopper.

The Players’ Tribune also released a short behind the scenes video showing Kobe practicing some new moves:

Kobe has publicly expressed his love of film making and storytelling, even partnering with SI to create an animated short based on his retirement poem. It appears as though he’s gaining valuable experience by acting in some short commercials. Bryant made a legacy out of working harder than anyone to succeed at something he loved, so perhaps he is well on his way to recreating that in a different medium.
