We fell in love with Alyssa Milano in the classic sitcom Who’s The Boss? which ran from 1984 to 1992.

Milano was cast as Tony Danza’s daughter Samantha. The cast also included Judith Light, Katherine Helmond and Danny Pintauro.

Now Alyssa is a grown up mother of two young children, and quite possibly the best boss ever as she stars in Celebrity Renovation on FYI.

In the one-hour special, Milano surprises her assistant Kelly by completely renovating her home. Why? Kelly is recovering from chemo and her battle with ovarian cancer and Milano wants her to rest and recuperate in tranquility and order.

With a tight timeline of just six days, Alyssa quickly assembles a skilled team to execute the enormous renovation; including a top notch Hollywood interior designer and a local construction crew.

Kelly’s small home is spruced and modernized, going from run down and outdated to modern, streamlined and stunning.

Tacky tile floors are replaced with hardwood, a “rock wall”is morphed into a stunner of a white marble fireplace and a dated bar is transformed into a custom-made banquette breakfast table.

This labor of love took six long and exhausting work days as Milano cajoles and acts as project manager to get the job done fast.

As with any construction remodel, there’s curve balls galore, delays and disasters but they are met with creative solutions.
