Globe Telecom finally unveiled the meaty details of its upcoming 4G LTE service in the Philippines. And to jump start this monumental event, they are raffling off an all-expense paid trip to the Singapore Grand Race happening this September 21-23.
“Ultimate speed and pure spectacle is what Tattoo Black is all about, which is very much similar to the Singapore Race,” that's according to Globe's Domingo Ronquillo II.
Dubbed Tattoo Black, Globe's LTE still doesn't have an official launch date yet but an update from the company revealed what new and existing customers will receive and experience with their 4G LTE service offering.
Globe lets you choose between two LTE plans: Tattoo Black Plan 1799 and Tattoo Black Elite 2499. This is considerably cheaper than Smart's Php 3,500 per month 4G LTE which has already been made available last August.
Tattoo Black Plan 1799:
- up to 28 mbps speed
- free USB dongle
- Php 150 monthly additional charge for SuperStick customers who wants to upgrade to LTE
- discounts at partner establishments (list unpublished)
- nationwide concierge assistance
- up to 42 mbps speed
- free tickets to Tattoo parties
- MIASCOR Lounge Access Extension Card
- credit limit extension and priority reservation on phones and tablets
- dedicated hotline, priority handling in stores and personal relationship manager
UPDATE: Data cap for Plan 1799 is 12GB & 15GB for Plan 2499. Unlimited data is available until January 31, 2013. Smart Communications updated their LTE plans, too. See the updated table here.
45 sites in Makati were already put up by Globe to begin its LTE service. The service will expand soon not just in NCR but in the other islands of the Philippines according to the company.
