Bangladeshi singer Moumita Tashrin Nodi became well known among the people through participating in the ‘Channel I Shera kontho’ competition in 2009 where she became the second runner up. Moumita is the only daughter of her parents. In childhood, little Nodi used to hear the rhythm of practicing music of her mother and elder brother; by the time she learned the lessons of music from her mother Shirin Aktar and brother Shahrier Jahan. Afterwards Moumita Tashrin Nodi learned classical songs from ostad Robiul Hossain for five to six years. 

The girl with Zodiac sign Nodi can also play guitar well. She is now a second year Intermediate student of New Government Degree College of Rajshahi. Moumita Tashrin Nodi wants to get admitted in any University of Dhaka for her graduation. 

Bangladeshi singer Moumita Tashrin Nodi could not flourish that much after her arrival in the music industry through ‘Shera kontho’ competition of 2009. She performed in three mixed albums. Her latest work is a duet song with singer Tareque in the album titled ‘Mughdota’ released in the banner of ‘Shangeeta’. The album contains eight romantic songs. The music video of the song ‘Karone – Okarone’ in this album had been shooted in different parts of Hong Kong. 

Recently, Bangladeshi singer Moumita Tashrin Nodi played back in the film ‘Ek poloker dekha’; the song titled ‘Valobasha chera ful’ in which F A Shumon gave the duet voice. Nodi has started the work of her first solo album which contains ‘Rabindro sangeet’. One of the songs titled ‘Ami tomar prem hobo’ has been recorded; the song is directed by Pavel. The whole album will be released in the first session of next year. Moumita Tashreen Nodi wants to take the heart of people by the magic of her voice.
