Let’s start with our first big news, Nayanthara and Vignesh Sivan have made their relationship official, so it seemed at least at SIIMA Awards 2016. Then there was the Janatha Garage movie teasers ( Telugu and Malayalam) which was the perfect EID gift for all NTR fans and Lalettan fans. And just yesterday we got to catch the first look of Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Velaidayi which didn’t disappoint. So here’s what exactly happened in the  week that went by….

Nayanthara is in love!

So, at SIIMA 2016, Nayanthara and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan director made it very obvious that they are the latest couple in love. Throughout the evening at SIIMA 2016, they chose to sit next to each other and were laughing and having a great time. But that’s not all, when both of them went on stage to collect their respective awards, they couldn’t stop gushing about each other. While Vicky called the the gorgeous actress the best human being ever, Nayan asked him to come on stage and give her the award herself. Ahem! Ahem!

First look of Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Velaidayi

Aditi Rao Hydari recently tweeted the first look poster of her Film with Mani Ratnam opposite Tamil actor Karthi and it was too cute for words! Looks like Mani sir is back to doing what he does best – romantic movies. The couple’s chemistry is very evident in the first look itself as they were locked in an intimate, yet adorable embrace. The poster has definitely made us eager for the film. According to reports, Karthi is to play a pilot. Furthermore, they have begun the first shooting schedule in Ooty today which will go on for 40 days straight. Looking forward to more of such romantic posters!

Janatha Garage teaser 

While the first look poster of Mani Ratnam’s next made us eager for the film, we were also blown away by the much awaited movie teaser of Janatha Garage. The movie stars Jr. NTR, Mohanlal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen. From the looks of the teaser ( Telugu and Malayalam), it promises to be a powerful, kick ass actioner as we see, both NTR and Mohanlal deliver some impressive blows Of course, music composed by Devi Sri Prasad is just brilliant and it sets the pace for the movie. It sure was a perfect Eid gift for all the crazy fans out there!

Rakul Preet replaces Parineeti Chopra 

The latest update on Mahesh Babu’s next is that Parineeti Chopra has walked out of the film. The reasons are not known but now the makers have apparently found a replacement in Rakul Preet Singh. The project will be directed by AR Murugadoss, the music will be Harris Jayaraj and most of the movie will be shot in Mumbai. The budget for the film is reportedly Rs. 90 crore. The movie will see a bilingual release in Tamil and Telugu.

Ajith’s 57 film goes on floors 

On July 6th, Thala fans went crazy, as Ajith’s untitled project with Siva finally went on floors. They began with a pooja and everyone involved with the film was present. Reportedly, Ajith is playing an Fbi Agent and most of shooting is to take place abroad. Anushka Shetty will reportedly star opposite the Vedhalam star. If rumours of Ajith playing an FBI agent are true, we are hoping for some slick action sequences!
