Confessions

I preach an elongation of our Philosophical values, an extension of our social sensitivity, of seeing beyond the guise of conformity, of seeking a greater truth (whatever that may mean), and of looking beyond the throngs of material Wealth that seem to consume us. I beckon the spirits of the tranquil and yearn for an era of peace.

In my writings, I implore you to believe that money shouldn't play a role in politics, that honesty will prevail against duplicity. In my writings, I urge you to not value financial wealth over personal wealth and to always turn a suspicious eye to the greedy. I tell you that an adherence to artistic integrity and philosophical inquiry are critical to finding the light at the end of that tunnel.

But who am I? ParticlesOfLight? LogicOfTheProfoundSilence? In reality, I am really just one of the many millions who walk the earth in search of enlightment and inner revelation. You may draw some meaning from my abstract metaphors, but likely you have little idea of who I am, and of the reasons why I write.

I cannot lie to you of my inner nature. I am a competitive person who absolutely hates losing, whether it be at a game of darts or the game of life. Instilled by the virtues of an upper middle-class pedigree, I see financial security and my occupation as barometers of success. I would love to own an Audi Quattro that goes from 0 to 60 in 6 seconds or to own the largest mansion on the block.

But what prevents me from indulging in my fantasies? Two reasons.

The first reason is that I can't. I wasn't groomed to be wealthy, didn't come from an affluent family where everything was provided to me, didn't develop within an ideal that promoted socio-economic segregation.

The second... boy, the second is my belief...

... that humans share the same weaknesses as my own, such as worrying about making the wrong impression, of feeling alienation when happiness should prevail, of feeling bliss at the most random moments, and of believing that the roads that our greatest religious and political leaders followed are the same roads that we must follow...

So where does that leave the LogicOfTheProfoundSilence?

Without a home..

... and with a home as glorious, as spacious and as beautiful as the greatest palace that the world has ever known.
