First released in the UK in 1967, Axis: Bold as Love is the 2nd studio album by the legendary blues-rock band The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Although Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding, and Mitch Mitchell recorded the album initially because their contract obliged them to, the result was still magnificent. Since their record label was afraid that the sale of the 2nd album would undermine the sale of their debut album, Axis: Bold as Love was not released in the US until 1968.
