Fall Cleanup om the Mayo, a part of Rockingham County Big Sweep, was organized by Doug Shumate of Troublesome Creek Outfitters. Seventeen people assisted and twenty seven bags of garbage were collected from the riverbanks, roadside area and beach. The area is clean for the first time in quite awhile.
