Fiber Arts Friday is here again! This has been a wicked crazy week that has flown by. My update for the week seems sparse even though many hours have been logged on the same two projects all week long.
According to my Time Hop, I learned how to knit six years ago this week. WOWZA! Really? It seems like I have been knitting and spinning so much longer than that but only six years. I look at the crazy amount of projects I've created and posted on my project page @Ravelry and it's amazing. Only six years...
First, I started spinning a 4oz braid of gorgeous 100% Cormo raised and dyed by my friend Char at Cormo 24/7. Her Cormo is absolutely delicious to spin. It wants me to spin it finer but I can't. I think I'm afraid to spin a true lace. I get it going then it snaps. I'm spinning a nice single that will be chain-plied into a lovely yarn.
I am also making a lot of progress on my Aridondack Shawl. I am loving how this is working up and the yarn. I am so partial to the yarn. What can I say, it's mine. The My Pedro base is wonderful. Yes, I'm partial.
One thing that drives me crazy is trying to photograph red...and blue. These photos show more of a pink red than the yarn is but...it's in natural light, outdoors with NO SNOW! Woot!
