It's Fiber Arts Friday! This week my post is packed full of handspun yarn. Lately, whenever I have downtime, that is all I want to do. My wheel is calling for me...it's My Precious.
First, I plied my Cormo fiber. OMG! This was a delicious spin. I chain plied the yarn and ended up with 346 yards at 16 WPI. I'm very happy with this yarn.
Next, I decided to tailspin some Mohair and Wensleydale fiber that I dyed last Autumn. I absolutely adore Mohair. I am that person that adore the halo that fibers like Mohair and Alpaca create. This yarn reminds me of Easter Eggs. I spun a total of 54 yards. The core is cotton.
Last but not least, I combined two batts together that were inspired by Tulips to make this textured yarn full of coils and beehives. The main fiber is Alpaca with a bit of silk and wool. The yarn is super soft and beautiful. I spun a total of 45 yards.
