Another Spots of Coxs bazar


Dulahazra Safari Park
If you want to enjoy an elephant ride you are to visit Dulahazra Safari Park. It is about 50 km from Cox’s Bazar on Chittagong- Cox’s bazar high way. Tame elephants are available here for you to ride. It will add an extra amusement in your journey. This is a safe place for a great many kinds of birds and monkeys. Chirping noise of different birds in the silent forest will create the feeling of joy in your mind. Intimacy with nature will refresh you and your mind.


Enani Beach

Another beach of Cox’s bazar is Enani beach. It is 35 km from Cox’s bazar. It is placed under Ukhia Thana. It takes only half an hour to reach the beach. This is an ideal place for those who enjoy bathing in sea water. Tourists prefer this beach for bathing because of its shark free water. Those who really what to enjoy a calm and quiet scenario must visit Enani.beach . Crowd of visitors are less here because its location which ensures the complete relaxation for those who want to avoid hazard.


Himchari

Himchari is prominent for the waterfalls. It is about 18 km south from Cox’s bazar. It is known as a picnic spot as well as a shooting spot. Way to Himchari is realy captivating. The specialty of this road is that it has the wide sea in one side and the cliffs on another side. Another attraction is the Christmas trees.


Laboni Beach

Laboni beach is considered as the main beach of Cox’s bazar because it is the closest beach to the town. This beach is always busy with the tourists because it is the center point of all the beaches. Communication is easier from here to all the tourists spot. You will find hundreds of shops selling souvenirs and ornaments in this beach.


Ramu

Buddhist temples (Khyangs) containing statues and images of Gautam Buddha in gold, bronze and other metals engraved with precious stone are standing on Ramu, a Buddhist village. Ramu is Located on the main road to Chittagong and about 10 km from Cox’s bazar. It is situated by the river Bakkhali on Tiger canal. Ramu has the most beautiful Khyang of the locality named Aggmedha Khyang. A 10ft high bronze statue of Buddha is resting on a 6 feet pedestal inside the Khyang. The wood craving of this Khyang is very luxurious and cultured. Another speciality of this Khyang is the old manuscripts and the Burmese handicrafts.


Sonadia Island

Sonadia island is rich in great much kinds of shell. It is a crescent shaped island and located about 7km North West of Cox’s bazar. During winter a large number of migrating birds come here and the entire area becomes noisy with the chirping of the birds. It is one of the prominent spots of dry fish. Thousands of fishermen make their temporary tents in Sonadia island during winter season and catch fishes in vast quantity.


Teknaf

Teknaf is 80km south of Cox’s bazar and very close to Myanmar. Teknaf is a small area beside the Naf River. People from different culture like Magh, Arakan live here and one can have the opportunity to observe them closely by visiting Teknaf. Teknaf and its adjoining areas have certain spots to visit. Journey by sampan (small boat) and staying on hilltop resort will be an unforgettable experience for anybody.



Aggmedha Khyang

If you want to see the sculpture of Buddha and old manuscript of Buddhist people you are to visit Aggmedha Khyang, a large Buddhist monastery. It is a place of adoration for the Buddhist people of Cox’s bazar and Chittagong hill tracks. It is an ideal place of social meeting of the Buddhist people of the area.


Maheshkhali

Maheshkhali is another island off the coast of Cox’s bazaar which is famous for the Adinath Temple. It is a Hindu Temple and becomes a place of pilgrimage during the month of March. The specialty of this island is the mangrove forest of low hills.
