In a strange twist to what we normally expect from toy Dolls, talented Ukrainian artist and sculptor Polina Verbytska crafts something a little less cute and a whole lot more terrifying with her ongoing series of realistic, dark Doll figures.

With doll names such as Death Angel and Corrupted Beauty, you can imagine just how deliberately ugly and frightening her creations are intended to be. Using polymer clay, wool, silicone, plaster and paper as the materials for her artworks – each doll is hand-painted with oils and acrylics, picking out every tiny detail of each character.
