Ceramic Underglaze Workshop with Minh Singer

Fall is coming.  We're all settling back in to our lives without the sun.  Now is the perfect time for creative growth.

In this class you will learn how to hand mold a plate with an emphasis on texturing techniques.  You'll be painting with underglazes. These give you more control because they don't bleed, run or blend the way other glazes do. Your color and your lines are nearly identical before and after firing.

Because you are able to get a more accurate image, students may wish to bring inspiration images of something they would like to paint, or you can look at the warehouse for prints to work with.

After the workshop, your fine china will be taken to Minh's studio where she will coat it with a clear food safe glaze and before firing. Your finished work will be ready for pick up on October 23rd.

Class includes:

-clay
-materials for molds
-inspiration pictures
-hand building technique books
-tools
-paint brushes
-underglazes
-refreshments
