I found some information from a journal Article with Harvard Women’s Health Watch. Here are some things to watch for regarding heavier than normal Bleeding in perimenopause.
Very heavy monthly bleeding, especially with clots (for
example, soaking through a sanitary product every hour
for more than a day)
Bleeding after sexual intercourse
Spotting or bleeding between menstrual periods
Several menstrual cycles that are shorter than 21 days
Several periods that last three days longer than us
The article also suggests that fibroids, endometrial polyps and thyroid problems can sometimes be linked to unusually Heavy Bleeding.
So, for some women periods taper off until they cease and for some, heavier bleeding is their pattern in perimenopause. For the ones experiencing heavy bleeding, keep an eye on it and, if it seems too far out of the ordinary, best to make an appointment with the doctor.
If anyone has any questions on anything at all in the health care realm, while I’m in nursing school I have access to a wealth of journal articles and scholarly research through the university library. These articles are often very costly to access so, let me get information for no cost through school while I’m able to.
