Widely Regarded as the greatest Hip-Hop producer of all time, the life and work of the late James ‘J-Dilla’ Yancey is often celebrated, not least by London based hip-hop promoters The Doctor’s Orders. Sunday the 30th of November will see a special celebration as three of his closest collaborators perform many of the tracks he produced and more.

Elzhi was one third of Jay Dee’s original crew Slum Village and has gone is widely regarded as one of the greatest lyrical talents to emerge from the great city of Detroit.

Alongside him is Stones Throw artist and one third of Random Axe, Guilty Simpson. His well woven tales of street life have found fans around the globe and are the perfect fit to many of Dilla’s rougher beats.

Phat Kat is a long time friend of The Doctor’s Orders and the first MC to release work with Dilla, recording under the name First Down. An energetic and powerful MC he is sure to set London alight once more!

They will be joined by a host of London’s best DJs paying tribute to the greatness of J-Dilla
