It’s all too common for doctors to blow off women’s complaints, or to blame everything a fat person of any gender reports as being due to their size. If you think a Doctor isn’t listening to you, here are some tips as to what you can say in response.

I know of one excellent technique that isn’t included in the article. If your doctor refuses to order a test or treatment that you believe to be important, say, “I want it recorded in my Record that you refused to order X test (or treatment).” Many doctors will change their minds if their refusal to treat you is going in your records.
