Carlos Santana, a songwriter, and guitarist have won several Grammys, Latin Grammys, Billboard Music Awards, and too many other music awards throughout his career so far.

He popularized a Latin-fusion sound that can best be described as a mixture of rock, salsa, and jazz in the late 1960s and 1970s with his band Santana.

After several personnel changes that steered the band towards a more hard rock sound, Santana was booked at the now-legendary Woodstock Festival, which, along with various recordings of the festival – including an award-winning documentary known simply as Woodstock – contributed significantly to the group’s early popularity and continues to enjoy music fans of the 60s and today.

After decades of continuing to work in his wheelhouse that combined rock, jazz, and psychedelia, his popularity revived significantly in the late 1990s, with the hugely successful 1999 album Supernatural and the United States.

His 15 million copies alone and his 30 million albums worldwide. This album earned him his No. 1 in 10 countries and his eight Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

The album’s biggest hit, however, was Rock’s collaboration with an entirely different band, Matchbox 20, from his group. 1999’s “Smooth” was a successful collaboration between the band Matchbox 20 and Santana and is still widely aired today.

Since the success of “Smooth,” Santana has effortlessly taken his place as rock music’s elder, regularly listed on lists of the greatest guitarists of all time.

In 2009, he appeared in the season finale of American He’s Idol with such legendary groups as KISS and Queen. Then, in 2014, he released his first album Corazon in his native Spanish.

The house is located in a very upscale Las Vegas community inside Bear’s Best Golf Club, and the $6 million he spent on the house in 2013 is the highest-priced apartment offered per square foot in recent years. It was also his fifth-highest home purchase in Las Vegas at the time.

He is also allegedly connected to his two-building complex in San Rafael, California. The complex is just a 20-minute drive from his former home in San Francisco. Carlos owns some impressive properties in Hawaii.

In March 2012, he was listing his $7.5 million home near the Ritz Kapalua in Maui. It looks like he finally received his $4.7 million.
