Don't know for sure but I assumed someone granted their land to the county probably after passing with no one to inherit, which the Island then turned into this charming little dog park. Nice trails to walk and stunning views of the Sound. Perfect for wandering artists looking for a place to stand their easels! We all set up here for a pleasant afternoon of painting fun just a few minuets from where we were staying in Clinton during the Whidbey Island Plein Air 2023.
