"Skid Row" 8x16 oil on panel, plein air SOLD |
The opening of the Scott Milo Gallery group exhibition was a big success even for a cold and blustery march afternoon. There was a big turnout for artwalk in Anacortes in spite of the weather and many paintings sold. Among them was "Skid Row" a plein air painting I did back in 2021 on a painting excursion with my plein air pal, Mark Bistranin. There is an old boat graveyard on reservation land near LaConner that I think is a painters paradise!
It was a very hot day and the first thing I did was look for shade, then painted what was in front of me. Can't wait to get back this summer!!
If you are in Anacortes, stop by the Scott Milo Gallery and check out the show! There are many regional paintings by myself and four other local artists. For more info go to the Scott Milo website HERE.
