Rodan + Fields Just Launched a New Hair-Care Regimen, and We Tried It First

Here's a fun (pretty well-known) fact about me: I put more effort into my Hair-care routine than anything else. Sure, I love skin-care products, and makeup is great, but if my hair looks good, I feel like I can forgo paying special attention to anything else. I get frequent haircuts and use heat protectants whenever I break out the hot tools, and I'm always testing the latest and greatest hair care because I want my hair to look its absolute best.

Recently, I had my hair color-treated, and I've noticed it's gone steadily downhill ever since. What was once shiny and soft has become dull, dry, and lackluster. However, I recently tested a product line that has helped immensely: the Rodan + Fields Moisture+ Regimen ($122).

Rodan + Fields just ventured into the hair category last year, but it's already launched a few products that are editor-loved, so I was excited to get my hands on its latest line. Not only is it science-backed, but it's also been vetted by celebrity hairstylist Bridget Brager.

"What I love about Rodan + Fields Moisture+ Regimen is that it spans all hair types and textures to really focus and zero in on rehabilitating our hair," Brager tells POPSUGAR. "It softens and hydrates dry, brittle, over-processed hair, and it detangles, adds shine, and defines our curliest and most coiled hair types."

The three-step line includes shampoo, conditioner, and a leave-in treatment. Keep scrolling to read my full review of the products.

About the Rodan + Fields Haircare Moisture+ Regimen

  • This three-step regimen includes the Moisture+ Cleansing Oil Shampoo, the Moisture+ Conditioning Mask, and the Detangle+ Leave-In Treatment.
  • It's formulated for dry, over-processed hair, especially curly and coily hair types.
  • Key ingredients include amino acids and silk peptides to condition, coconut oil to moisturize and combat frizz, jojoba and sunflower extracts to reduce breakage, and a mix of other botanical oils to boost shine.

What I Like About the Rodan + Fields Haircare Moisture+ Regimen

As mentioned, I have dry, color-treated hair, and ever since I got highlights, it's been in need of some major TLC. I don't usually notice results immediately after testing products, but that wasn't the case with this line. It left my hair soft, smooth, and shiny the first time I used it.

The shampoo lathers well (a nonnegotiable for me), the conditioner made my hair feel extra silky, and the leave-in product didn't weigh my ends down whatsoever. I have fine hair, and I often worry that moisturizing products will make my hair look limp and flat, but I actually found that I had added volume after using all three of these products in tandem. Plus, they all smell amazing, leaving my hair fresh as a daisy.

How to Use the Rodan + Fields Haircare Moisture+ Regimen

The brand recommends using the regimen three to four times per week. Start by applying the shampoo to wet hair, lathering, then rinsing and repeating the process. From there, follow up by massaging the conditioning mask into hair from roots to ends (no need to skip the scalp), then wait five to 10 minutes. If you're looking for extra conditioning, the brand suggests leaving the hair mask on for 30 minutes. Then you can rinse thoroughly.

Once you're out of the shower, follow up with the detangling treatment, which can be applied to clean, damp hair from the roots to the ends before styling your hair as desired.

Brager mentions that she uses the conditioning mask once a week to hydrate her highlighted hair and the detangling leave-in treatment after each wash, so that's what I've been doing as well. I usually wash my hair once or twice a week, so I swap out a different conditioner for my second cleanse.

What to Consider Before Trying the Rodan + Fields Haircare Moisture+ Regimen

The brand has full hair-care lines for different hair types and needs, so don't be afraid to mix and match if you're looking to target specific concerns. If you have oily hair, I'd suggest looking into the brand's Volume+ line versus the Moisture+ line.
