Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Big Debut Has Somehow Inspired . . . the Condiment Business?

Look what she's making them do. On Sept. 24, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's first public appearance was quietly overshadowed by an unsuspecting plate of fried chicken, and brands are eating it up. After a fan account tweeted out a photo of Swift next to a tray of ketchup and what the writer cautiously labeled "seemingly Ranch," the Eras Tour performer's condiment preferences were quickly called into question. "Our Ranch Queen," KFC wrote in response. But the chicken chain was not the only company to get in on the condiment conversation.

Swift's sauces struck an unexpected chord with the internet, prompting a series of tributes including Hidden Valley Ranch changing its Twitter name to "Seemingly Ranch." The Empire State Building also made sure to weigh in, posting a red and white throwback photo in honor of the ketchup and "seemingly ranch" combo. The discourse garnered so much attention, Heinz even decided to re-release limited edition bottles of its ketchup-ranch concoction, formerly known as "kranch". The sauce is now dubbed "Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch," and it's predictably making a splash on social media. (Availability and store locations pending.)

The world already loves Swift and her music, but the "seemingly ranch" thread reveals just how invested the internet really is, brands included. "I love knowing Taylor's choice of condiments," cable channel Freeform wrote in response to the initial tweet, while Van Leeuwen Ice Cream also teased a fictitious "seemingly ranch" flavor. The public's desire to know more about Swift clearly manifests in strange ways, and these brands are making the most of it.
