Kim Kardashian's latest beauty transformation has internet-breaking potential. The reality star debuted an edgy Buzz Cut while posing for a new CR Fashion Book photo shoot published on Sept. 25, and it's the shortest we've ever seen her hair. Kardashian didn't permanently chop her long brown waves for the editorial spread - rather, hairstylist Matt Benns fit a closely cropped wig over her scalp, making her look like a completely different person. Makeup artist Yadim Carranza put the finishing touches on Kardashian's dramatic look, giving her thin '90s-inspired eyebrows and glossy lids.
Kardashian's CR Fashion Book shoot was part of the publication's 10th anniversary feature focusing on muses. In the accompanying interview, she shared her thoughts on what it means to be an icon. "An icon to me is someone who fights for what they want and goes after their dreams and makes them happen," Kardashian said. "Someone who is so unapologetically themselves but maintains the kindness and warmth I connect to." Asked when she feels her sexiest, the "American Horror Story" actor responded, "After a good workout, or when I wake up with messy hair and no makeup."
Through the years, Kardashian has experimented with her hair on various occasions, most recently stepping out with clip-in bangs and resurrecting her sleek blunt bob in a super-short chin-grazing length. The Skims founder has also dabbled with just about every shade of blond on the spectrum, from platinum to honey bronde. Now that she has a Buzz cut under her belt, what divisive hair trend will Kardashian tackle next? Perhaps the "jellyfish" haircut?
