While Jeremy Allen White's character Carmy in FX's hit drama "The Bear" is somewhat of a loner, off screen, the actor is a devoted dad. White has two adorable daughters - Ezer Billie White, who was born in 2018, and Dolores Wild White, who was born in 2020 - with Addison Timlin, also an actor. The parents married in October 2019, and Timlin filed for divorce in May 2023.

White and Timlin rarely make public appearances with their girls, but they do share photos with them on their social media, and White has opened up about being a dad in interviews. He told In Style in 2022 that they're his "best friends" and shared that he actually has a tattoo to honor Ezer's birth.

"When I found out that my wife and I were pregnant . . . she called me because she wanted to just tell me right away. We had just moved into our house in Los Angeles, and I was sitting in the backyard to have a little rest," he explained. "And there was this really old tree sitting in the corner, with a hummingbird nest in it. The tree was dead, but the nest looked like it had been there for a long time. As my wife was telling me we were pregnant, my eyes were just on this hummingbird darting around the whole time. So, I got a little hummingbird for Ezer, our oldest daughter." And when White won a Golden Globe this January for his role in "The Bear," he shouted out his daughters, saying, "Louis, Ezer, I love you so, so, so, so much. I love you deep in my bones. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for everything that you've done."

In a 2019 interview with US Weekly, the "Shameless" star opened up about how being a father has a learning curve while he praised Timlin's guidance and seamless transition into motherhood. "I'm learning from Addison because I think for moms, for women, who have children, they click into it a lot faster than we do," he said. "So while I think I'm doing a really good job, I still look to her, because she, as soon as we started this thing, she's been incredible."

In May 2023, Timlin reflected on how hard parenting has been amid the couple's split. Writing on Instagram, she shared in part, "Co-parent is not how I pictured it. It is so f*cking hard." She explained, "It can be exhausting but more than anything it can just be so lonely. when something magical happens and you have to tell yourself 'don't forget this' because theres no witness by your side. It's so painful." But, she added, "just like everything with motherhood the lows are demolished by the staggering heights."
