Fisher-Price Just Recalled Its Barbie Camper For Potential Injury Risk! Here's What to Know

Your kids can't get enough of cruising around in their Power Wheels Barbie Dream Camper? Then you might want to double-check the motorized car because Fisher-Price just recalled it. According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, 44,000 units of the product are being recalled because they pose an "injury hazard."

"The children's ride-on Power Wheels can continue to run after the foot pedal is released, posing an injury hazard," said the recall. The ride-ons in question were sold at Walmart in store and online between July 2018 and January 2019 for about $400. Think you have an affected product? Look for the model number FRC29 under the hood to be sure.

Concerned parents should take the camper away from children immediately. Fisher-Price is also offering to repair affected vehicles for free.

"Our Authorized Power Wheels Service Centers will remediate the vehicle with a new foot pedal and foot switch housing free of charge," says its website. "In addition, the service centers will complete a free safety inspection." Still have questions? Call Fisher-Price at 800-348-0751 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or head to its website for more info.
