Spring Sprites! These Sprites come out of hibernation in the Spring, and go back into hibernation in the Fall. We rescued these Sprites from cold weather in their usual nesting area. Spring Sprites need weather at least as warm as the first day of spring that year, because that is the day they come out of hibernation. Because Spring Sprites live in mostly warm areas, this is usually pretty warm. The area warmed up after a few weeks, but as it turned out, it was slightly overcrowded in their section of woods anyway, with only a few knotholes for them to make their homes in. So, we are putting them up for adoption to someone who can give them a good home. Anyone who adopts them does not have to have woods to keep them it, though they do really like plants, but they do need to have a warm area to let them live in. There are currently 50 of these Spring Sprites up for adoption.
