2023 Smyrna Jonquil City Jog

The 2023 Smyrna Jonquil City Jog 5K, 1K Fun Run and Tot Trot takes place in front of Smyrna City Hall on Saturday, April 15, 2023. The 5K begins at 8:00am, and is an out and back route on Atlanta Road. It is a flat and fast USATF certified route, idea for getting a great PR. The 1K and the tot trot take place after the 5K concludes directly in front of City Hall. As one of the best community races in the Metro Atlanta area, the 2023 Smyrna Jonquil City Jog consistently draws a great crowd for this flat, fast and family-friendly course.

All of the first place finishers – overall, masters and age groups, are racing for Kenny’s Key Lime pies, so the competition is always tough. The Jonquil City Jog is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.

Proceeds
Proceeds benefit the Campbell High School Educational Foundation, Inc. and Support Smyrna. The Campbell High School Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides financial and community support to Campbell High School. Throughout the pandemic, Support Smyrna was able to help feed hundreds of Smyrna families in need. They are expanding their mission within the Smyrna community to help veterans, seniors, students, and others in need.

Directions & Parking
There is plenty of parking in the parking lots surrounding the downtown Smyrna Business District. Use the address for Smyrna City Hall – 2800 King Street; Smyrna, GA 30080 to find the race site. From I-285 – Exit Atlanta Rd. Go outside I-285 approximately 4 miles to Church Street (just past Concord Rd.) Follow signs to race parking. Once the race begins, please expect traffic along Atlanta Road to be impacted between the Smyrna Community Center and Campbell Middle School.

Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-Up
Participants may register online for the 2023 Smyrna Jonquil City Jog 5K and fun runs through Race Day – Saturday, April 15th, 2023. Participants who register online will pick-up their race number on the morning of the race in front of Smyrna City Hall beginning at 7:00am (through the start of the tot trot).

Participants may also register in person at the Smyrna Community Center (front desk) (200 Village Green Circle) from Monday, April 10th at 7:00am until Friday, April 14th at noon. Cash or check only. If you register in person at the Smyrna Community Center, you will receive your race number at that time. ONLINE registrants cannot pick-up a race number at the Smyrna Community Center.

Groups of 10 or more participants may receive a $3.00 per person discount on 5K registration.. Group discount only applies to online race registration.

Age Group Awards
Key Lime Pies for all 1st place winners! Awards will be presented to the Overall and Masters Men’s and Women’s Finishers. Top 3 Male and Female finishers in the following age groups: 8 & Under, 9 to 10. 11 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69 and 70 & Over. Only “Timed” 5K participants are eligible for Overall & Age Group awards.

Finisher ribbons will be presented to all 1K and Trot Trot finishers.

All registered race participants will receive a commemorative race T-shirts (excludes fun run and tot trot participants who select the NO T-shirt option). THere is a $2.00 surcharge for XXL T-shirts. Thought every effort is made to order T-shirts in sizes consistent with race registrations, there is no guarantee that on race day, due to multiple factors, we may run out of the exact size you requested when you registered. If necessary, we will re-order the correct size after the race. NO GUARANTEE for the correct T-shirt size for participants registering on race day.
