8 Travel Tips for Beginners Flying with Cebu Pacific

As the excitement of travel season looms, Cebu Pacific extends a supportive hand, aiming to ease any potential challenges and simplify your air travel experience. With adventurers preparing for journeys both near and far, it’s crucial to provide essential pointers to enhance the efficiency of your trips.

Thus, Cebu Pacific offers a comprehensive guide, packed with practical advice and personalized insights, ensuring a smooth and stress-free travel journey. Whether you’re embarking on your maiden voyage or a seasoned traveler, these reminders serve as indispensable aids, providing reassurance of the bustling travel season.

  1. Arrive punctually: Passengers of Cebu Pacific and Cebgo should factor in travel time to the airport. Arriving at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 and 4 at least three (3) hours prior to domestic flights and four (4) hours for international flights is advised. Travelers heading to Dubai have the option to check in as early as seven (7) hours before departure.
  2. Online check-in: Minimize wait times by utilizing the CEB mobile app or the Manage Booking section on the CEB website for online check-in. This service is available from 48 hours up to one (1) hour before domestic flights and up to four (4) hours before international departures. Passengers without checked baggage who have checked in online can proceed directly to boarding gates through NAIA Terminal 3 Gate 1 by presenting their digital boarding passes.
  3. Complete eTravel Forms: To expedite immigration processes, international travelers are encouraged to fill out or update their eTravel forms at least 72 hours or three (3) days prior to departing from or arriving in the Philippines. A QR code generated upon completion should be saved. For round-trip international journeys, eTravel forms must be completed twice — once for departure and once for arrival. Access eTravel forms via www.etravel.gov.ph.
  4. Pack wisely: Passengers are allowed one (1) carry-on bag and one (1) personal item such as a purse, small backpack, or laptop bag, with a combined weight not exceeding 7kg. Oversized or overweight bags will incur charges at the boarding gate.
  5. Baggage policy: Optimize savings by purchasing prepaid baggage online through the CEB website or mobile app. Passengers may now avail up to three (3) pieces of 20kg baggage, with options to add extra weight allowance. Pre-purchasing baggage is up to 4x cheaper than airport charges. Additional baggage can be purchased during flight booking or via the Manage Booking portal up to two (2) hours before departure.
  6. Self-tagging for select domestic flights: Travelers departing from specific domestic destinations are reminded to self-tag their check-in luggage at designated kiosks before proceeding to bag drop counters.
  7. Stay informed: Check-in counters close 45 minutes prior to domestic flights and one (1) hour for international flights. Boarding commences 45 minutes before departure. Stay updated on flight status at www.cebupacificair.com/flight-status.
  8. Confirm airport terminal: Review itineraries and boarding passes to ensure alignment with the designated airport terminals. Cebu Pacific flights (5J) operate from NAIA Terminal 3, while Cebgo (DG) flights to and from Manila operate from NAIA Terminal 4 at Domestic Road, Pasay City.
