Customers of Lufthansa in the Los Angeles region! On October 26, Los Angeles International Airport will welcome back the well-liked Airbus A380. The additional volume that the market needs, given the surge in demand for air travel, will be supplied by the A380’s expanded capacity in the Los Angeles area.

Flight LH453 will depart Los Angeles at 6:30 p.m. and arrive in Munich at 1:40 p.m. the next day. Flight LH452 will leave Munich at 12 p.m. and return to Los Angeles at 4:15 p.m. All times are in local time. Due to the deployment of the A380, the previously daily running flights now have expanded capacity.

Lufthansa decided in 2022 to reactivate the Airbus A380, which is especially popular with customers and staff, because of the strong surge in demand for travel and the delayed delivery of ordered aircraft. Eight A380s in total will be back in service, operating to and from Munich, by late 2025.

The Airbus A380 is one of the world’s most fuel-efficient aircraft, using around 12% less fuel than other wide-body jets while also being approximately 30% quieter than the current generation of wide-body aircraft.

The airline’s A380 has approximately 80% more capacity than its Airbus A340-600, which currently flies on the Boston – Munich and JFK routes. In total, Lufthansa’s A380 has four seating classes: 8 in First Class, 78 in Business Class, 52 in Premium Eco, and 371 in Economy Class.

The upper deck also includes the Business Class cabin, which has 78 seats and better functionality such as greater storage and a power supply that works with all global connections.
