Today, Boeing announced a $300,000 donation (equal to 3,000,000 MAD) from the Boeing Charitable Trust to support the recovery and relief operations following the earthquake in Morocco. Additionally, the organization pledged to match all monetary contributions made to the cause by Boeing employees dollar for dollar, broadening the scope of aid given to the Moroccan people.

Boeing funding will support the following organizations:
- $150,000 to the American Red Cross, in partnership with the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, for shelter, food, health and mental health services and other relief such as hygiene kits, basic necessities and welfare information.
- $150,000 to CARE International for emergency water, food and medical support for survivors.
Disaster relief initiatives in Morocco are consistent with Boeing’s dedication to the areas where its workers reside and work. For more than 50 years, Boeing has operated in Morocco. Boeing has given the nation $1 million in charitable contributions during the past decade.
Ziad Ojakli, executive vice president of Government Operations at Boeing, expressed his sincere sympathies to Moroccans who are going through such unbearable suffering among the damage caused by the earthquake. “Coworkers at Boeing from all over the world are committed to helping the people of Morocco, and we stand ready to work with local partners to provide substantial assistance that promotes healing, reconstruction, and renewal.”
