IndiGo, India’s top airline, declared Hollongi, Itanagar as its 75th domestic and 101st overall destination in the 6E network, in keeping with its goal to improve connectivity in the northeast.

Beginning on November 28, 2022, the airline will operate flights between Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hollongi out of Donyi Polo Airport in Itanagar (Hollongi). A second weekly frequency between Kolkata and Hollongi was also announced, starting on December 3, 2022.

Itanagar, the state capital, is only 15 kilometres from the recently constructed airport in Hollongi, formally known as Donyi Polo Airport (Hollongi). Itanagar (Hollongi), commonly known as the country of the Hollongi, has more accessible routes, and Sunrise-lit mountains would increase the number of visitors to sites like Tawang, a lovely town sandwiched between the Gudpi and Namdapha mountains, the Ita Fort, the Jawaharlal Nehru Museum, and other locations.  As well as Chong-Chung Mi ranges. The glacial lakes of Sangetser and Sela can be explored by visitors, who can also visit the Taktsang Gompa to meditate or climb the Gorichen Peak for stunning views of the town below.
