Easter .....

Made this filled dome as an Easter gift for a crafty friend at a Crafty retreat we have 3 times a year ....

The Dome and base were from Hobbycraft and it contains a base with an LED light to illuminate the contents.

I didn't make all the contents but bought the eggs (Cadbury Mini Eggs), the felt daffodils and the Chick.

The base of the dome was coloured with green acrylic paint. I then die-cut a grassy border from green card. This was applied around the base of the dome.

I then made a nest from jute twine and stuck the 3 eggs into it with a glue gun. The chick was then stuck in place next to the nest.  I then hot glued two of the daffodils back to back onto some green wire, added leaves, and bending the wire and applying to the base with hot glue at two different levels to fit inside the dome.

I then die-cut three bunnies from printed paper and coloured the ears and nose with pink Posca pen, adding white and black for the eyes and whiskers. I added white pom-poms for the tails. These were Hot Glued in place at the back of the dome to add interest at the back.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink on white card and added to wire and stuck in place with more hot glue.

The base of the dome was then covered with yellow Washi tape and decorated with yellow self adhesive gems to finish .....

Was pleased with the overall look of the gift .....
