A Butterfly card .....

I started with a square white card blank and cut a smaller matt which was treated with white gesso applied through a butterfly stencil to act as a resist. Once dry i made washes from Distress Oxide inks in iced spruce and worn lipstick and smooshed the gessoed matt through the colours, removing some with a tissue and drying between coats. I then spattered with Gold Acrylic Ink and stamped some sewn lines in Versafine black ink. I stamped a cross and numbers in the same Distress ink colours.

The butterfly word (AAll & Create) was stamped out in Versafine black, trimmed out and matted on green card before applying to the background and edged with a shadow as before.

The card was finished by matting the background on pink and green card and adhering to the card blank.
