Hello again Painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Red Canyon painting. The Photo that I'm using is seen directly below. I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5x7 inch canvas.

When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the Photo Directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

I've overpainted much of the canvas for this week's cycle. Note the revised butte, now with both a new color and more crack detail. I am attempting to convey the feel of the various cracks without painting each one. As such I am painting the larger ones with a reduced amount of small ones along the top. I spent some time looking at the photo and arrived at what is seen in the photo below. More would likely be too much. Finally, the trees are now more of a greenish color.
