Abbey Road celebrates 50th anniversary.

The most famous crosswalk in Hollywood celebrated the most famous crosswalk in the world as The City of Los Angeles shut down Hollywood and Vine to allow fans to recreate the famous crossing on the cover of The Beatles' Abbey Road album.

The event, which took place on September 26, 2019, exactly 50 years later, took place in front of Capitol Records featured a dedication hosted by Beatles fan and actor Patrick Stewart. A sign marking the making of the album was placed on the street in front of the infamous building. 

During the event, fans were able to recreate their own Abbey Road Album cover, take pictures front of a bus advertising Abbey Road 50th and picked up Beatles merchandise.

The Abbey Road album was released on September 26, 1969. The Abbey Road 50th Anniversary album is a special anniversary edition of the album has been released with new mixes and unreleased session recordings and demos.
