“This is bad” – Netizens Reacts As Soun Knelt Before Pst Adeboye For Prayers

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, explained why he did not intervene to prevent Oba Ghandi Olaoye, the newly appointed Soun of Ogbomosoland and a pastor of the RCCG in the United States, from contesting for the stool.

On September 2, 2023, Olaoye was duly chosen by the kingmakers in the ancient town to become the 21st Soun of Ogbomosoland, and this decision was recognised by the State Governor, Seyi Makinde.

Following Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III’s passage into the great beyond, the stool became empty.

Olaoye was crowned the new Soun of Ogbomoso at Abata on September 8 by the kingmakers of Ogbomosoland, who were led by Areago of Ogbomoso, High Chief Sobalaje Otolorin.

Nigerians are reacting to photos of the Soun of Ogbomosho kneeling before Pastor Adeboye for prayers.

The photos were taken at his thanksgiving service on Sunday, December 17. The king used to be a pastor in RCCG before he was ascended the throne.

While some Nigerians do not see anything wrong in the King kneeling before Adeboye who they say “represents the King of Kings,” others argue that as a King, he is not expected to kneel before anyone.
