Some People Thought I Bought a Jet, I Didn’t; Where Do I Get the Money From? -Pastor Adeboye

In response to the controversy surrounding the acquisition of the new Gulfstream aircraft, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, clarified that he did not personally purchase any jets.

He stressed that it was God who blessed him with the jet and questioned where he would have obtained the funds to buy it himself.

In a video shared by Divine Encounter, Pastor Adeboye shares that God made a promise to him in 1975, stating that He would bless him with three jets.

He goes on to reveal that when God eventually provided him with a private jet, he faced criticism from certain individuals.

According to him, “Way back in 1975, at a time when I had never even visited Ikeja, at a time when I had never seen the inside of a plane, God promised me, son, I’m going to buy you three jets. I couldn’t understand. What was he talking about? I didn’t even know that an individual could have a jet. That’s why when the time came and he provided one and some people started crying, I didn’t answer a word. People said talk to them, explain. I didn’t explain, and I didn’t say a thing because if you’re crying when I have one, what will you do when I have three? And I’m telling you to tell you this: one day, not too long from now, there’ll be an airport belonging to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and your jet will be packed there. If you believe that, shout hallelujah. How is it going to happen? I don’t know. Some people thought I bought a jet, I didn’t. Where do I get the money from? I don’t buy a jet; God bought it for me.”
