Nigerian singer, Oxlade has revealed why he Dropped out of school.
He made this known during a podcast conversation with Tea with Tay.
Up until he had to leave school because of Cult Members, he stated that he was continuously reading his books and studying his Bible.
“During my university days, I was always in the church reading Bible and books. Then I dropped out in my final year. I’ve never said this before. I dropped out when some boys were trying to make me join gang”he said
Oxlade claimed that the cultists were persistent in their efforts to get him to join them.
He continued by saying that God had intervened just in time for him because the cult members had gone looking for him in his hostel not long after his grandmother had begged him to return home.
When they were unable to locate him, they pounced on his friends and injured them critically.
He remarked that his grandmother’s intuition was correct; he didn’t know how, but she just knew something was wrong.
“One day, my grandma called me asking where I was. I said I was on campus and she said I should start coming to our family home in Ibadan. I went to Ibadan. That day, those boys almost killed my roommates.
“That’s why I appreciate my grandma’s importance in my life. Forget all these things say we dey whyne, God dey, truly, there’s God. And I’m saying this with my full chest, God has saved me countless times. That’s why I could come back twice as tall, just as Burna Boy called it” he added.\
