‘I grew up looking up to Nigerian rappers’ – Nasty C

Nasty C, the famous hip-hop artist from South Africa, recently opened up about his sources of inspiration in the Music Industry.

In a podcast interview with Afrozons, the 26-year-old artist, whose real name is Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, revealed that he drew inspiration from both Nigerian Rappers and the Ghanaian prodigy Sakordie.

Additionally, he mentioned being inspired by rap artists from his own country, such as the late AKA and Cassper Nyovest.

He said, “My pioneers for hip-hop in Africa in no order are M.I, Sakordie, Olamide, Phyno, AKA, Cassper [Nyovest], Naeto C… There’s so many.”

Nasty C, also known as the “Coolest Kid in Africa,” has gained immense popularity and commercial success as a rapper on the continent.

His collaborations with Nigerian artists like Burna Boy, Runtown, and Davido have further solidified his position in the music industry.
