“I don’t want my daughter to live the life I lived” – Adekunle Gold

Nigerian artist Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known by his stage name Adekunle Gold, has revealed that he is working so hard because he does not want his daughter, Adejare, to experience the life he did as a child.

The singer who got married to his longtime girlfriend, Simi in 2019, shared his thoughts on fatherhood, family, music, and everything in between with the popular vlogger.

Adekunle Gold talked about his journey into the music industry and how he has managed to remain relevant in the highly competitive Nigerian music scene.

He stated that anywhere his family are, is where his happiness lies, referring to them as the“center” of his life.

“Being a father is a huge responsibility that I love by the way. Knowing that I have a huge responsibility to raise a queen. You know, my family is my center. Anywhere they are is my happy place.

“That is one of the reasons I’m hustling hard. Because this girl, the life that I lived growing up, she can’t do the same. That’s why I’m dropping school fees’ music for you people” he said in parts.

He claimed that having a spouse who is an artist has made his life simpler because he doesn’t have to constantly explain his busy schedule.

In another story, Adekunle Gold brags about having the best band in the world

AG Baby recently bragged about his stage presence in an interview with Tataki, he stated that his band is the best in the entire globe.

Adekunle Gold stated that his songs are relatable to his audience since they are based on genuine situations.

He said:

“I have the best band in the world; I say that all the time. Every time I’m on stage, it’s a different vibe. As a fan of music as well, I don’t ever want to go and see my favourite musicians play the same songs that I listen to in my car because if I’m paying for tickets, I want to experience something good.

My songs that you listened to already would sound different [when you watched me perform it]. It’s so important to have musicians on stage. When I leave the stage, I’m like, ‘Damn! That was crazy.”

“All my songs are very relatable because most of them are my stories. You made these beautiful songs in the studio, not knowing what to expect, and then taking it on stage, seeing people’s reactions whether they know the song or not, the energy you get from that is one of the things that I enjoyed the most,”
