REVEALED!! Why Man City won’t wear Champions League trophy next season

Despite winning the Champions League Trophy on Saturday, Manchester City won’t have the privilege of donning it on their uniforms next year.

City defeated Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul to complete the Triple.

Although Ederson made some crucial stops late on, Rodri’s goal in the second half proved to be the game-winner.

But even if the club won the Champions League for the first time ever, the trophy’s emblem won’t be worn on the sky blue City jersey the following year.

That is so because winning Europe’s premier competition only results in receiving the UEFA Badge of Honor once.

Clubs must either win the European championship five times or three times straight to be eligible to display the illustrious trophy.

The only teams that are permitted to wear it are Barcelona, Liverpool, Ajax, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and Real Madrid.
