The Ghana Football Awards’ organizers have nominated Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen for the international category’s Best African Player award.

On the official Twitter account for the Ghana Football Awards, Osimhen’s nomination was made public.

Along with Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City and Mohammed Salah of Egypt and Liverpool, both players were nominated for the award.

Osimhen helped Napoli win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years with 26 goals in 32 games.

Also scoring five goals in the UEFA Champions League was the 24-year-old.

The Nigerian won the league’s top scorer honor and was also named its top striker.

In 51 games for Liverpool, Salah contributed 30 goals and 16 assists.

Mahrez played 47 times for Manchester City in all competitions, with 15 goals and 13 assists.
